All physicians who are board certified by the AOBNMM with time-dated certificates will be required to be enrolled in Osteopathic Continuous Certification (OCC) effective January 1, 2013. Requirements for OCC may be pro-rated based on re-certification anniversary date.

Starting January 1, 2013, all physicians receiving first-time board certification from the AOBNMM will automatically be enrolled in OCC at the time the certificate is awarded.

Non-time dated diplomates are strongly encouraged to participate in the OCC process. At this time, participation in all components is not required for non-time dated certificates.

Component 2 – Lifelong Learning/Continuing Medical Education

Component 3 – Cognitive Assessment – (Years 8-10 of 10-year certificate term)

Component 4 – Practice Performance Assessment and Improvement
